CHFA announced that 19 developments applied for Low Income Housing Tax Credit (tax credit) allocations during the third and final allocation round in 2008. The cumulative tax credit allocation request was $16,242,186, with the average tax credit request at $854,852. Total requests in the third round exceeded tax credit availability by a ratio of 5 to 1. Applicants for developments serving the Denver metro region were most highly represented, with others submitted from the Fort Collins, Colorado Springs and Cortez areas. Only two of the 19 requests were for multifamily acquisition and rehabilitation.
