CHFA held its 17th Annual J.David Barba Charity Golf Tournament this week; raising $111,000 for Warren Village, a Denver nonprofit organization dedicated to helping low-income single-parent families achieve sustainable personal and economic self-sufficiency.
Since its inception in 1974, Warren Village has provided shelter to more than 3,500 families. Warren Village is a recognized national model for its provision of housing services combined with on-site family programs including case management, life-skill training, career and/or educational development, early childhood education, and school age programs.
In addition to raising funds for a local nonprofit, the golf tournament honors former State Auditor and CHFA Board Member, J. David Barba. Barba passed away in 2001, but continues to be fondly remembered by CHFA as a man who dedicated his life to his family and to the state. To further celebrate Barba’s passions, this year’s tournament was held at The Ranch Country Club in Westminster, Barba’s home golf course.
CHFA would like to thank the following event sponsors and door prize donors, who helped to make this year’s tournament a success.
